Ramapo graduated its first students in 1973. At the 2013 commencement ceremonies, the Class of 1973 received special recognition to mark the 40th anniversary of their graduation. In honor of this milestone event, Leo Campbell Ed.D. and a member of the Class of 1973 agreed to spearhead an effort to create a permanent scholarship fund to commemorate 海角社区鈥檚 first graduating class. He agreed to join with others in his class to provide the funding for the endowment and gave an initial gift to launch the fund.
