The Friends of º£½ÇÉçÇø, founded to expand communications and foster greater understanding between Ramapo and neighboring communities, supports the College in numerous ways. The Friends of º£½ÇÉçÇø sponsor cultural events, reflecting the members’ interests in promoting the intellectual, social and cultural activities on the college campus, and the organization and its members have provided significant support to the College for the Peter P. Mercer Learning Commons campaign.

From its beginning in 1975, the Friends of º£½ÇÉçÇø have provided scholarships to eligible students. To commemorate the Friends 50th Anniversary and continue their legacy of supporting students through scholarships, the Friends@50 Endowed Scholarship was created. This is the third endowed scholarship funded by the Friends of º£½ÇÉçÇø. The Friends@50 Scholarship will benefit a student devoted to community service.
