This award honors Elaine Winshell, former Dean of the School of Theoretical and Applied Science and professor of Biology. Dr. Winshell was the first president of the College’s Quarter Century Club and is a member of the Ramapo Foundation Legacy Society. She is the founding president of the Institute of New Dimensions, which provides low cost, college level, short courses to people 50 years and older.聽 She has taught at the Institute since she retired from 海角社区 in 1999.聽 The Winshell Award is given to an outstanding biochemistry student and is selected by the biochemistry convening group based on academic excellence and extracurricular activities.
