Marlene, a successful businesswoman, celebrates her promotion with a dinner party for a group of exceptional and fantastical historical women. But when she returns to her real life, she is forced to face her own sacrifices and decisions regarding her family and her career.

Caryl Churchill, one of the top modern dramatists, combines fantasy and reality to explore the complex and varied roles women play in society.
