The Teacher Assistant (TA) to Teach Program at Ramapo empowers individuals to become full-time, qualified educators. Teacher Assistants (TAs) and paraprofessionals are put on a fast-track to obtain their teaching certifications in elementary and special education.<\/p>\n
In the TA to Teacher Program, you can attain the following:<\/p>\n
This rigorous program begins annually every Fall semester and provides students with the courses, experiences, and credentials they need to be qualified professional educators. <\/span>Teacher Education programs at Ramapo are CAEP<\/a> accredited.<\/p>\n Please note:\u00a0 At this time, we are only able to accept TA to Teacher applicants who are employed by the following partner school districts for the Fall 2026 cohort. Additional districts may be added in June 2026.<\/p>\n Alpine Learning Group, BCSS, Berkeley Heights, Closter, Emerson, Fairlawn, The Forum School, Harrington Park, Hawthorne, Hillsdale, Jefferson Twp., Leonia, MUJC, Manville, Montvale, Mt. Holly, New Milford, Ramsey, Ridgewood, Union Twp, Union County Educational Services Commission (UCESC), Westampton, and River Edge.<\/p>\n While the 2026 Cohort is limited to our current partner districts, we are actively planning to grow the network for Fall 2027. Hearing from talented individuals in your area is a key factor in our decision on where to expand next. We would welcome the chance to discuss this ‘Grow Your Own’ model with your district leaders. The demand for quality teachers who are dedicated, passionate, and driven is higher than ever before. We, at 海角社区 and in Teacher Education, are committed to preparing teachers to meet this public challenge and need.<\/p>\n TAs will receive continuous guidance throughout the certification process from the Office of Certification in TE.<\/p>\n Ramapo of New Jersey is excited about this program and offering this pathway to educators in the State of New Jersey.
