This education program option is ideal for students who:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>already hold a bachelors degree; and<\/li>\n<li>are interested in obtaining either:\n<ul>\n<li>NJ K-12 Content Area Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing; or<\/li>\n<li>NJ Elementary Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Students may qualify and be interested in 海角社区 partnerships across the State of NJ in the TA to Teacher Program. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/te\/ta2teach\/\">Learn More here!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>General Requirements<\/h4>\n<p>The Non-Degree TE\/Certification Program application process begins with an advisement session with our Post-Baccalaureate Program Advisor. During this session prospective students and the Advisor:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>review all previous transcripts and credits earned;<\/li>\n<li>examine the desired NJ Teacher Certification requirements; and<\/li>\n<li>develop an initial customized program design that specifically aligns to the desired NJ Certification requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Program requirements consist of both coursework, distinct course-aligned clinical experiences and a full-year clinical practice internship in a variety of school settings. Required courses may be taken during the traditional fall and spring semesters, summer sessions I and II, winter session and online, see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/academic-calendars\/?hide=false\">Academic Calendars<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The final year of the Post-Baccalaureate Program is a modified cohort model which requires:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Fall Semester<\/strong> &#8211; completion of the part-time Clinical Practice I internship (180 hours) and co-requisite methods courses<\/li>\n<li><strong>Spring Semester<\/strong> &#8211; completion of the full-time Clinical Practice II internship (525 hours) and co-requisite Capstone Seminar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For additional information regarding 1) NJ Elementary K \u2013 6 Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing requirements, please visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.state.nj.us\/education\/license\/endorsements\/1001CEAS.pdf\">NJDOE K-6 Elementary CEAS<\/a>; or 2) NJ Content Area Certificates of Eligibility with Advanced Standing requirements, please visit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.state.nj.us\/cgi-bin\/education\/license\/endorsement.pl?string=999&amp;maxhits=1000&amp;field=2\">NJDOE Certificate Subject Area\/Grade Level Codes<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Completion of the above program is noted on the student\u2019s official Ramapo of NJ transcripts. The 海角社区 program is approved by the New Jersey State Department of Education under the standards established by the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification. Teacher preparation candidates are prepared to become student-oriented teachers who design high quality learning activities to meet a broad spectrum of learning styles and learning needs.<\/p>\n<p>The Teacher Education Program at Ramapo is CAEP accredited through May 2027. Ramapo is located ideally for access to field experience opportunities. Can I do coursework in this way, and what availability do I need during the student teaching year?<\/p><div>\n<p>The TE\/Certification Program makes concerted efforts to accommodate the working professional. Therefore, courses are scheduled in the late afternoon\/evening, to the extent possible.
